Red Line

The Red Line serves as the major connection between Middleburg and Orange Park. This route starts at Winn-Dixie at the intersection of C.R. 218 and S.R. 21. The first run leaves at 5:50 am traveling north on S.R. 21 through Middleburg and Orange Park arriving at the Orange Park Mall. The Red Line connects with the JTA’s WS-2, Green Line, and Blue Line at the Orange Park Mall. The connection at the Orange Park mall has been utilized by individuals on our developmental services to transfer to our Blue Line for employment on NAS Jacksonville or transfer to JTA’s WS-2 for work at the Federal Courthouse in Jacksonville. This line is crucial to the connectivity of the other bus lines, allowing riders from extremely rural areas of the County to connect to other transit services. The Red Line  travels west on Wells Rd. past Everest University, south on U.S. 17, and east on Kingsley Ave past Orange Park Medical Center. The Red Line connects to the Purple Line allowing for a later commute from the Middleburg area to the Orange Park Mall. The connection with the Purple Line has allowed us to transport several individuals from the Orange Park area to the Adult Counseling Program on Knightboxx Rd. The evening route leaves Middleburg at 5:00 pm en-route to Orange Park, where it connects with both the JTA’s 5 and Evening Green Line. This permits commuters to travel from JTA to Middleburg.  Ridership of this line has steadily increased by double and triple digits since its inception in 2007.
